BROWN BACK BALL PYTHONS

Brown Back Ball Python This morph is lacking dorsal pattern, making it similar to a black back ball python. However, it appears that this morph is also lacking a type of dark pigment. This morph is lacking black and is only shades of brown and tan. The belly is patternless.

This mutation is genetic. Future breedings will determine if trait is dominant or co-dominant. What would a super brown back look like?

The brown back hatchlings presently look like black backs but it appears to me that there is some fading waiting to come through in the dark areas on their back. Their color is off too; the side pattern is a different shade of brown than that of their normal siblings. At this point, I think they will mature to look like dad so I am calling them brown backs.

I can't wait to breed this mutation into other morphs! It will be nice to see how these animals mature.
