A
super pastel is the result of a ball python being homozygous
for the pastel gene. This snake has two copies of the
pastel gene and the result is a big step up from just
a plain pastel.
This is a
breeder's snake....it just speeds up the whole process
of breeding for ball python morphs. When bred to a normal,
you get all pastels. When bred to a pastel, you get
pastels and supers. When bred to another super pastel,
you hatch all supers! Breed a super to a recessive morph
and the entire clutch will be pastels het for that mutation.
